Installation will make Miami Dade College’s Tower Theater the third cinema in the United States to feature Sound-Transparent LED screen technology
MIAMI , FL November 4, 2026 – Bardan Cinema and Digital Light Sources (DLS) have signed an agreement to supply and install a seven-meter DCI-compliant, sound-transparent, SDR, 3.3mm pitch CineLEDMAX Cinema Screen at the iconic Tower Theater Miami.
The installation makes Tower Theater Miami the third cinema in the country to install CineLEDMAX technology, following our first U.S. debut earlier this year at ICON Cinemas in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and later Cinema Quattro in Liberty Lake, Washington
The landmark venue’s new CineLEDMAX screen will deliver a next-generation cinematic presentation while addressing the unique technical challenges of the theater’s stage configuration. Its patented sound-transparency technology enables precise speaker placement, preserving the authentic cinema sound experience while delivering the visual advantages of Direct-View LED technology.
The screen is part of Miami Dade College’s broader investment in restoring Tower Theater Miami to its historic grandeur ahead of its 100th anniversary and reopening. Built in 1926, Tower Theater has welcomed more than 1.2 million visitors over MDC’s 20-plus years of stewardship and remains a cultural cornerstone of Little Havana.
